1. Why are the ARANIZERS so industrial looking?

The SS Series is an inexpensive Air Purifier because the fabrication of the housing is simplistic in its design. It has great utility in its application and affords the ability to allow air to circulate throughout the housing because of the louvers in the unit.

The NS Series is designed more aesthetically. While it is more durable than the SS Series because of its hidden separation barrier internally, it allows for the unit to be placed on bookcases, on top refrigerators or filing cabinets and looks more appealing than the SS Series.

2. What is the chemical smell when the ARANIZER^TM is turned “ON?” It reminds me of a swimming pool.

ARAN^TM is the company’s trademark for all allotropic forms of Oxygen greater than Ozone (0₃). ARAN^TM is 0₄ 0₅, 0₆, 0₇, O_x etc.

When an 0₈ degrades to 0₇ then to O₆, and again to 0₅, the single atom of Oxygen (0) has an odor that is similar to Chlorine (CI), which is used in swimming pools to disinfect the water. ARAN^TM can be adjusted by its Controller to have very little odor. Some people think that the odor is very “clean” smelling. It smells like the air after a thunderstorm.

Smokers will object to the ARAN^TM because the ARAN^TM will have a tendency to “clean” their nose and throat of existing tobacco odors that have accumulated in their air passageways over a period of time.

3. Why don’t ARANIZERS^TM produce Oxides of Nitrogen (NO_x)?

ARANIZERS^TM produce ARAN^TM without electrical sparking and at temperatures far below the 140⁰ F that other Ozone machines do. The unit uses high voltage electrical step up transformers that create a unique corona that doess not create N0_x.

4. My Aunt has asthma and says her doctor told her these machines are harmful to her. how can we sell them to doctors?

People with Asthma will find irritation using Ozone machines that produce Oxides of Nitrogen (NO_x) while producing the Ozone. NO_x is an irritant that can cause the nasal and throat passageways to close up.

Since ARAN^TM is produced without NO_x and will not affect a person with asthma. ARAN^TM will cause the particles in the air that aggravate an asthmatic’s Condlition to fall to the surfaces of tabletops, counter tops, furniture, carpeting and anything attached to the Earth’s surface. People with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder) and Asthma find our units to be very helpful and our testimonials illustrate the comfort they enjoy while using the equipment. 5. If these machines are safe, how come so many articles appear in the news that says they aren’t safe?

Most of the information used by the news regarding unsafe Ozone comes from outdated articles supported by old EPA tests using Ozone Machines. The EPA tested Ozone and never discussed the absence or presence of Oxides of Nitrogen.

The 1996 EPA Report states in the introduction that NO_x was discussed in their 1993 publication on NO_x “and will not be discussed on this site.” (See FDA/EPD) vs. 0ZONE booklet)

In the entire history of the ARANIZERS^TM manufacturing business, not one case of any type of harm has ever been recorded against the company.

ARAN^TM AQUA carries a S1,000,000 product liability insurance policy that has one of the cheapest rates tied to it. The reason for the low rate? No claims against the company for over 58 years.

.6. I read the Technical Bulletin but still don’t understand what allotropes are and why the ARANIZER^TM can produce them and other machines don’t?

An allotrope is a different molecular structure of an element that is not found in the element’s natural state.

Oxygen (0) is number 8 on the Periodic Table. It has 8 Protons and 8 Neutrons in its nucleus. It has 8 electrons in its 2 outer rings {2 in the first ring (k) and 6 in the second ring (l)}

Oxygen is found as 0₂ in its natural state (a diatomic molecule). We breathe 0₂ as part of our atmosphere. Our atmosphere is comprised of 72% Nitrogen (N₂), 16-18% Oxygen (0₂) and 12-10% inert gases pollution and other gases.

Ozone (0₃) is a molecule with 3 atoms of Oxygen and is a triatomic molecule. ARAN^TM is 0₄, O₅, 0₆, 0₇ 0₈, O_x and all the molecules are ahlotropes of Oxygen (0₂).

7. Is the ARANIZER^TM a purifier, sterilizer/disinfectant or a deodorizer? Flow can it be all three? Yes, the ARANIZER^TM is:

1. A purifier;
2. A Sterilizer/disinfectant;
3. A deodorizer;

The ARANIZER^TM IS NOT an air filter!

1. As a purifier, the ARANIZER^TM uses Oxygen in its very active allotropic states that chemically combine with both organic and inorganic gaseous fumes in the air an(1 it oxidizes these fumes converting them from a gas to a molecular solid particle that has a negative charge (—) attached to that particle.

Because the particle have a negative charge, it falls from the air to the Earth (+), which is positively charged and collects on everything attached to the Earth. This can create over a period of time a “film” on surfaces (Counter Tops, coffee tables, bookcase shelves etc.) and must be wiped off physically to remove them from these surfaccs. Once the air is free from these gaseous fumes, the active Oxygen molecules will continue to remove the gases at their source. Often, in very polluted rooms, a “mist" will appear during this oxidation period illustrating that the ARAN^TM is doing its job by changing the invisable gases to a visible solid molecular ash. Once the air is clean, the mist will not appear.

2. As a sterilizer/disinfectant, the ARAN1ZER^TM kills and destroys bacteria, viruses, mold and fungi that can he life threatening to human beings, animals and plant life.

4. As a deodorizer, the ARANIZER^TM is very effective. When chemical fumes are removed and bacteria and fungi are killed, the odors that accompany these situations are also removed.

Odors such as gasoline. xylene, toluene, cooking odors, skunk odors, cat litter box odors, smoking cigarette and cigar odors, flower odors, urine odors, fecal odors etc. are easily removed by oxidation with the ARAN1ZER^TM.

In nursing homes and hospitals, both the patients’ and the employees’ morale are greatly improved when ARANIZERS^TM are used to destroy the fecal and urine odor discharges of incontinent patients.

Mildew in basements often smells like urine. The ARANIZER^TM will kill the mildew and once the fungi are killed, the cause of the odor is gone.

ARANIZERS^TM have been used in patients’ rooms where odors of external cancer wounds often permeate the air. Odors are gone and the room maintains a healthy atmosphere and better working conditions for the hospital staff.

8. If the ARANIZER^TM is used in a hospital room, will it sterilize it?

Yes, the ARANIZER^TM willl sterilize any room that is using the equipment for that purpose.

There are many tests that show the ability for the ARANIZER^TM to be used as a sterilizer. The DOD Report prepared by the Armour Research Foundation in 1956 specifically states that Ozone (0₃) will kill dangerous bacteria and all viruses in less than 5 minutes (99.9% effective) and in ninety minutes (90) they reported 100% sterility! (See booklet on bacteria testing)

Dr. Magee of Florida State University stated in a letter “ozone kills bacteria and fungi as completely as if by steam.” EXHIBIT 13)

9. I have an ARANIZERS^TM in my basement. It takes away the musty smell but soon after I turn it off, the basement smells musty again. I thought that the ARAN1ZER^TM deodorizes the room...

If the odors are deep inside concrete block or deep in the cracks of basement walls or concrete floors, it will take several weeks to penetrate those areas with the ARAN^TM EXHIBIT-14

If the problem that caused the musty odor is not corrected, the odor will continue to re-occur after the ARANIZER^TM is removed. The ARANIZER^TM is a final solution to odor problems once the cause of the odor can be identified and stopped. The ARANIZER^TM will then effectively remove the residual odor once and for all.

10. Can the ARANIZER^TM be kept on for long periods of time? Should they be turned on only when there are odors? How is the ARAN1ZER^TM regulated? 1-low “high” should the dial be turned?

The ARANIZER^TM is designed to be kept on the “on” position 24 hours per day, seven days a week and 365 days a year. Our slogan is “Turn it up, turn it down, but do not turn it off”

The ARAN^TM generator is designed to clean itself if the unit is constantly running. The ARANIZER^TM is energy efficient. Our largest portable units (SS-8 & SS-10) only use about 60 watts of electricity per hour. The SS-4X unit uses about 15 watts per hour. In 24 hours, the SS-4X will use about 1/3 Kilowatt hour. Most areas charge about $0.08/KWh. So the monthly cost of using the SS-4X continuously for that 30 day period would be about $0.90.

The ARANIZER^TM should be kept on continuously. For the small cost of energy, the unit is constantly killing airborne bacteria and viruses for literally “pennies per day.” Our motto is “A milligram of prevention is worth a ton of recalls (or preventions of infections in this case.)”

Each of the models (both NS and SS Series) has control knobs that can increase or decrease the ARAN^TM output. There are no numbers on the dial as we suggest that the user find a “comfort zone” that they enjoy. The output of ARAN^TM in some cases can be a little overwhelming. However each unit can he adjusted so that the output matches the problem. If the problem increases in its intensity, the unit can be adjusted upwards to meet the demand. If the unit kills the bacteria or fungi, the unit can be adjusted downward to maintain its effectiveness.
The dial should be set at a level that makes you feel comfortable.

11. Won’t the ARANIZERS^TM output combine with the pollutants in a room and form Oxides of Nitrogen?

While chemistry professors can show formulas that may make Oxides of Nitrogen (NO_x) from Ozone (0₃), the probability of that happening with ARAN^TM is nonexistent.

If NO_x were to occur, it would be in the process of the generation of the ARAN^TM molecule. Since the ARANI1ZER^TM ARAN^TM have been tested several times for NO_x, the verification of the absence of the NO_x has been established.

12. What is ARAN^TM? Why can’t I find it in Chemistry books?

ARAN ^TM is the company’s trademark for all allotropic molecules of Oxygen (0₂) that are greater than Ozone (0₃).

As the company was the first and only company to make the ARAN^TM molecule, the founder, the late Nick ‘Trikilis, patented the original ARAN^TM generator on the making of 0₄ and 0₅, that he called ARAN^TM in the patent.

Only in the last fifteen years or so, the scientific community has begun to examine the allotropic world of the Oxygen (O₂) element. Carbon (C) has several hundred allotropes. You are probably more familiar with Graphite and Diamonds that arc Carbon allotropes.

There are many reports of studies that are being done comparing the 0₁₂ molecule to the S₁₂ molecule. S is the symbol for sulfur. It is very similar to the Oxygen molecule because like Oxygen, it needs 2 electrons in its outer ring to complete the electron configuration to be satisfied. The S₁₂ molecule has been used by the rubber tire industry for the past 8 decades to make a better-vulcanized tire than that of normal S.

Hopefully, someday the scientific community will give ARAN^TM the recognized stature that it is a long time waiting...

13. I see commercials on TV of similar machines. They all look nicer. If the ARANIZER^TM is better than these other machines, why don’t we see an ARANIZER^TM commercial?

The Ionic Breeze by Sharper Image was designed to appeal to the eye of the shopping community. It was advertised as an air cleaner (filter type unit) that relied UPON the air movement through its “charged plates” to collect the pollen, dust, mold spores etc. on its plates in a silent fashion.
Sharper Images's giant advertising has helped make their Sharper Image the leading brand, making a number of claims (clean 24-7" and "saves money," however Consumers Reports explains that thoes statments are irrelvant because the main claim -"It works", - didn't measure up to their tests.

After Consumer Reports wrote the articles (3 of them) comparing the Ionic Breeze to other HEPA type filters, the basic conclusion was that the Ionic Breeze is “only a little better than nothing at all.”

Sharper Image sued the Consumer Report Magazine only to lose in federal court to the Consumer Report Magazine. In fact, Consumer Report was awarded $525,000 judgment for the spurious act. The Court found that Consumer Reports stated facts that were true and Sharper Image tried to deprive the magazine of their right to free speech.

Consumers are drawn to advertising that appears to be truthful because it is on television or in newspapers however closer scrutiny of the advertising will often show that the truth is very often omitted and the facts are stretched to meet the requirement to sell the products.

The company sells its products through catalogue houses, dealers and distributors. Sometimes Health Food Stores will sell the products as part of their image of being a health oriented retail outlet.

If a dealer and distributor advertise the product, the company does not want to compete with its dealers and distributors.

The company has spent most of its profits in perfecting the product. To make plastic units that will not stand up to the longevity that the company is offering is self-defeating.

14. Does ARAN ^TM turn into Ozone upon oxidation?

ARAN^TM Can become Ozone (0₃) as it breaks down during the oxidation period. If it does become an 0₃, it will be a much more active 0₃ than those generated by Ozone Machines or Ultra—violet bulbs.

ARAN^TM has the ability to ”grab” 0 ₂in the atmosphere and to become a large molecule during its degradation periods

. An O₉ that becomes an 0₈, then an 0₇~ can grab an 0₂ and become an 0₉ again.

Because ARAN^TM retains tremendous energy, it has the capability to continue the process after it has left the ARAN generator. This is one reason why ARAN^TM is superior to Ozone. When 0₃ becomes 0₂, it is stable once again. The ARAN^TM molecule can continue regenerating long after the Ozone molecule has dissipated.

15. Gary has an ARANIZER^TM in his office. An area on the window nearest the machine gets cloudy or foggy. Is the machine doing that? Why? And what is forming on the window?

Yes, the machine is creating the fog on the window. The “fog” is probably residual solid oxidized pollution that is also forming on his tables and desk. It comes from chemical pollutants, air borne mold spores, pollen, dust etc. that the air filters are not getting and the unit is charging those particles negatively so they will collect on windows and mirrors where they are more visible as well as on carpeting and chairs where it is not as noticeable.

16.Seems like a lot of competition. Other machines look better. Our customers are more skeptical based on what they’ve seen in the news. How would you recommend we sell these machines?

The best way to sell the ARANIZER^TM is to tell the customer the absolute truth.

1. The ARAN1ZER^TM’ kills bacteria and fungi that create tremendous liability to everyone in the health industry because of the runaway infections now being experiences at every level.
2. Bacteria and viruses are mutating and are not as easily killed once they penetrate the human body. You must kill these organisms before they have the opportunity to harm the patients.
3. Hospitals are under staffed. Orderlies do not always wash their hands when they go from room to room in dealing with patients. The spreading of disease can be eradicated with constant use of the ARANIZERS^TM
4. Patients urinate in their beds. You must get rid of the odors that cause uncomfortable situations.
5. ARANIZERS^TM cut down on chemicals used to disinfect rooms and bath rooms.
6. People with Strep throat often visit the doctor’s office before going to the pharmacy to obtain their prescription. Think of the things they touch along the way:

a. The doorknob to enter the doctor’s office;
b. The pen they use to sign in;
c. The arms on the chairs they sit in awaiting their examination;
d. The doorknobs going into the examination room;
e. The examination table and chairs;
f. The doorknobs when they leave to go to the pharmacy to pick up their medicine.

Remember that Staph and Strep can live on surface for up to 24 days ‘after the bacteria has been wiped on to that surface. The number of patients going to a doctor’s office in 21 days can be a staggering number that contribute to the infections. Those people that will acquire an infection after they have been there on a routine examination will compound those statistics. The liability is overwhelming!

Pharmacies have similar situation:

A person with an infection goes to the window and often places their hands on the counter to1). Then they will wait 30 minutes to get their prescription. All the while they are:

a. Picking up vitamins to read their labels;
b. Picking up literature to read then placing it back into the rack;
c. Using the store’s pen to write their checks;
d. handing their credit card for charging the prescription

Very often they will pick up a shopping cart and shop in the store while they are waiting for their prescriptions. The bacteria counts on the handles of the carts are too numerous to imagine.

I just wanted to write and tell you how satisfactory your products are for my health

. I purchased 3 SS-4X Aranizers for ny home and car in 2000. They have been running without any trouble ever since, because they have a very good control switches and can modulate the ambient Aran in the environment with no problem. I came to you because the ozone machines I had been using had switches that kept breaking and were noisy; a leading manufacturer of ozone equipment in the U.S.

Your service to me over the phone, including accommodating my special needs, has been very comforting and helpful.

I am seriously compromised and permanently so, by airborne fungus, yeasts and molds, including dead spores. Medically I am at risk for seizures, being unable to breathe and complete decompensation of the immune response if exposed to a level beyond my tolerability.

Aloha Mr.Tkillis,

Your Aranizer air purifier is amazing! I have acute chemical sensitivities since a pesticide poisoning many years ago and must avoid chemical exposures as much as possible. This is very difficult to do with chemicals permeating so much of our everyday lives including almost every building material, carpeting, and new articles of clothing.

I’ve used every kind of air filter available including HEPA filters, ozone machines and ionic units. The Aranizer, however has changed my life. I breathe clearly and easily now. Chemicals are quickly neutralized in my environment. I have piece of mind that I will be safe when I travel because I always bring my smaller SS-4X model with me which I use in the rental cars and hotel rooms.

I just purchased the larger NS-6 model for a recent room addition and within days I no longer had dizziness, headaches or difficulty thinking from all the new furniture and paint. And here in Hawaii we have plenty of mold and mildew problems. But not at my house…we have the Aranizer!

We are very grateful fbr youl generosity when letting us experience the awesome power of the Aranizer after a house tire on December 8, 2003.

Aftier being awake at 5:10 am. With the house filled with smoke, we were very lucky to all get out of the house safely and the fire extinguished. What we were left with is the smoke smell everywhere. It was in our clothes, vehicles and throughout the house. Two days after the tire I was about to say we could not stay in the house until the smell was gone when I was referred to you, Joyce to try the Aranizer.

We were so impressed that within 2. hours of contacting you, You had us set up with two Aranizers. Within two hours of setting the machines up, I could tell a difference. I could tolerate sitting in my own home again. We ran the machine in the house as well as in the garage. We were so impressed with the results in the garage where the fire originated Our vehicles were just horrible with smoke smell. We opened all the windows, shut the garage door and turned the Aranizer on full blast. We ran it throughout the night. We were shocked to find that the smell in the vehicles was gone. Even when we ran the heater, absolutely no smell.

IN-DEPTH TESTS: SHARPER IMAGE IONIC BREEZE, HONEYWELL ENVIORONIZER

Sharper Image ads claim that the Ionic Breeze has been “proven effective’ and that “tests at leading university research centers show that the Ionic Breeze is effective at trapping airborne allergens, contaminants and irritants.” Ads also cite its quiet operation implying that other cleaners are less effective because people can’t abide the noise and will shut them off.

Here is what we found

. Here is what we found. borne particles.” Last year, we said that the Ionic Breeze “proved unimpressive” and that our tests “found almost no measurable reduction in airborne company complained, maintaining that our tests, based on the industry standard for measuring clean-air delivery rate (CADR), were inadequate. Sharper Image said that the Ionic Breeze technology is “vastly different” from that of other air cleaners and would fare better in a longer test.
We re-examined our test procedures and had them reviewed by an independent expert. Morton T Lippmann,. professor of environmental medicine at New York University. He confirmed the validity

mental medicine at New York UniversIty. He confirmed the validity of our methodology. We continue to stand behind our report. This year we ran our regular tests for the Ratings. We then ran additional long term tests to find out whether the Sharper Image technology is, as the company says. “so unique” that we have to “look beyond the limiting CADR test protocol’ to evaluate it fairly. We included the similar Honeywell Environizer in the extended testing.
This year’s additional testing has not changed our Judgment. We hired both Prof. Lippmann and S. Katharine Hammond. professor of environmental health sciences at the University of California at Berkeley, to evaluate the results of several studies that Sharper image sent us to demonstrate the Ionic Breeze’s effectiveness. According to our two experts, some of those studies were irrelevant to the question of whether the Ionic Breeze was an effective air cleaner. For example, one Virginia study used the Ionic Breeze only as a particle sampler; not an air cleaner. Other studies used questionable methodology or showed merely that the Sharper Image had little air-cleaning capability.

THIS YEARS ADDED TESTS AND RESULTS

Long—term air cleaning. We tested the Sharper Image ionic breeze and the Honeywell Environizer against two high-scoring air cleaners, the Friedrich electrostatic precipitator and the Whirlpool HEPA filter.

We gauged how well each air cleaner could handle the periodic introduction of small amounts of pollutant into a sealed test chamber over a 6-hourr period. One set of tests used smoke, another fine dust. A second set of tests gauged how well each cleaner worked fur the next 17 hours, after the last injection of pollutant. For both sets of tests, we ran the Ionic Breeze and tire Environizer on high to maximize performance; the others were on low, their quietest setting.

The better an air cleaner does in lab tests like these, the bettor it will perform in a household setting. Cot as Prof. Lippmann explained, if there is “very little dust removal over 100 minutes” then running an air cleaner for 24 hours ‘is not going to make It an effective air cleaner when infiltration of air containing particles into a room continues.” .

The results. The Ionic Breeze and the Ertvironizer didn’t Cr1100 close to the performance of the others. As the graph below shows, the Frledrich and Whirlpool have vet y high rates of air cleaning. The Ionic Breeze and Envirronizer had very slow rates of cleaning. which did not improve over time; those two products never achieved the same low pollutant level that the Friedrich and Whirlpool attained. .

Noise study. We asked 40 people in 20 households to run tire Frledrich and Whirlpool in their bedrooms continuously on low speed for a week, .

The results. Thirty-five of those using the Friedrich said they didn’t notice the noise, hardly noticed it, or noticed but didn’t find it bothersorme. With the Whirlpool. 29 people didn’t notice the noise at all, hardly noticed it, or noticed but didn’t find it bothersome. Two said the Whirlpool’s noise was so annoying that they wanted to turn the machine off. No one said that about the Fniedrich
. Given those findings, you could expect most of the air cleaners we tested to be quiet enough on low speed for most households. Based on our lab measurements and judgments, both fell within tire range we call very good for noise on low speed. .

THE BOTTOM LINE.

The Ionic Breeze and the Environi;zer are quiet hut ineffective. A compatible product, the Hoover SilentAir 4000, per formed poorly in our standard test; we chose not to put it through any extended trials. Considering how slowly these three products worked. Our advice is to avoid all three. There are touch better choices. .

Air-cleaning speed

The table below show the speed of reducing pollutants in our test chamber from 2,500 to 1,500 particles per cubic centimeter. The higher the numbers the better. The Friedrich and the Whirlpool (on low) were 25 times more than the others (on high) .
